Liverpool 2 - 0 Leeds United :Benjamin Woodburn Breaks Micheal Owen's Record
Liverpool yesterday scaled through Leeds United in their campaign for EFL cup glory. The home side went Tottenham Hotspur and Derby County in their previous EFL cup fixtures and it wasn't this hard to find a goal, till the final 15 minutes both teams were leveled and attacks wasteful as both sides never made any opportunity a goal.
Both teams both had equal number of shots, on target and off target and as usual Liverpool had their way with possession but didn't have a disciplined attack to convert that possession into goals till the 76th minute when Divock Origi broke the dead luck, converting Alexander Arnold's from the right into a goal by beating the Leeds United defence.
The Next goal came from Benjamin Woodburn who broke Micheal Owen's record as the youngest player to Score for the Liverpool side in history. just 17 years and 45 days, the youngster finished off for a second goal which pushes the team the EFL cup semi Finals.
The Next team Liverpool will face will be made known after the Wednesday games, when draws will be made.
