Arsenal 0 - 2 Southampton : Cup Glory Ends Here For Arsenal

Arsenal got Stunned to by Southampton 0-2, sending the Arsene Wenger side out of the EFL CUP, moving ahead to the Semi Finals of the EFL CUP for the first time in 30 years. The Arsenal side had been unbeaten 19 games in all competitions and Today not only tested defeat but were also eliminated from the competition with just a game to the finals. The first goal came just 13 minutes into the game, when Sofiane Bofal's deflected shot fell right in front of Jordy Clasie, who not only took the chance but finished off nicely. The balls were mostly held by Arsenal which was part of their bid to get back in the game, but the Southampton side were more dangerous with the ball when the got it. Bertrand run found Boufal cross and with that he made a good finish sending his team 2 up in the 38th minute. The Game was sour on Southampton but they were disciplined in defence and make their mark with counters, the game ended 2-0 in favour of the visitors.

Manchester United are now qualified for the Semi Finals of the EFL CUP,with a Traumphant 4-1 win over West Ham to Scale through to the next stage of the competition. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice in this one, a feet he was unable to make in their encounter four days ago. The Jose Mohrinho side took the lead just 2 minutes into the game, Zlatan Ibrahimovic Made a nice finish from Henrikh Mkhitaryan's back heel but Manchester United's celebration was cut short when former United man Ashley Fletcher went on the Score sheet making the game leveled till half time. Anthony Martial gave his team the lead again just three minutes into the second half, sending the ball to the top left corner of the net from 14 yards away then finished Valencia's ball across the box a goal from close range making the tally 3-1 in the 62nd minute. Ibrahimovic Made His second mark on the goal in the last minute crowning the United win and qualification to the next stage of the competition.

Manchester United will host West Ham again this Wednesday at Old Trafford which is the second time in a four days span. Both teams settled for a draw after 90 minutes of physical football at Old Trafford Last weekend in the Premier League 13th fixture but this time a winner must emerge, qualified for the Semi Finals of the EFL CUP. Hull City successfuly stopped Newcastle from making their first semi finals of the EFL in 40 years KCOM Stadium, while they were out for their first ever EFL semi finals. Both sides failed to make a goal in the first 90 minutes of the game and were only proud of just two shots on target. Rafael Benitez side had their time in the first 45 minutes of the game, dominating the match like a premier League side would do while Hull City struggled to even get their bearing, just lucky they finished draw by half time. Liverpool yesterday scaled through Leeds United in their campaign for EFL cup glory. The home side went Tottenham Hotspur and Derby County in their previous EFL cup fixtures and it wasn't this hard to find a goal, till the final 15 minutes both teams were leveled and attacks wasteful as both sides never made any opportunity a goal. The Brazilian side Chapecoense, due to play first leg of Copa Sudamericana Finals against Colombian side Atletico Nacional which was to be the clubs first ever major trophy, finally have their dreams shattered as the team's airplane crashed today in Columbia killing 75 with 6 injured. The magical rise of the team from the Brazilian fourth division to the Brazilian Serie A captivated everyone in Brazil. heading out to play the clubs biggest game in history, their plane crashed in Rionegro, Colombia with only six surviving. Real Madrid went six points Clear of competition on the La liga Table after a 2-1 win over Sporting Gijon. The Game saw Exceptional player Chrstiano Ronaldo Scored Twice in 18 minutes, the first a penalty just 5 minutes into the first half and the second a header he beautifully finished from Nacho Fernandez Cross. The Visitors fought back in a bit to get back into the game, Carlos Carmona Scored in the 35th minute, bringing back hopes of recovery. The first 45 ended 2-1 so was the second, but there was some crucial opportunity blown away by Duje Cop, who took the penalty caused by Nacho's foul. Chelsea FC 2 - 1 Tottenham Hotspur Chelsea at home today hosted Tottenham Hotspur at Stanford bridge in their thirteenth game of the season, also the first meeting between Antonio Conte and Mauricio Pochettino as an opposition, the game had both teams come in with a bid to maintain their records, Chelsea hoping to increase their winning Run to 7 games and Tottenham hoping to continue their unbeaten run. This was all both teams had at stake, though Chelsea might have a little shuffle at the top while Tottenham Hotspur will remain 5th whether Win or Loss. The First 45 minutes was leveled though Christian Eriksen goal came early, it wasn't enough, Pedro Rodriguez leveled the game before half time whistle. Swansea City 5 - 4 Crystal Palace Crystal Palace were brought down by Swansea City at Liberty Stadium in a game of goals, 9 goals in total from both sides, two goals in the last minute gave Swansea their second win of the season.
