Liverpool lost their last two games at home to two teams in the top six, 3-2 to Swansea and 1Nil to Southampton, winning just a game in their last six games with two draws, which is some bad record for a side planning to get back to winning ways against Chelsea who have five wins in their last six fixtures and presently leading the premier League with eight points.
Liverpool without Sadio Mane had been very ineffective in Making results, and also defensive issues which had been a problem even before the start of the season, conceding four goals in two games.
