Manchester City 5-3 Monaco : Great Show of Entertaining Football

Manchester City had their way through the first leg of the round of 16, winning the French side Monaco, in a game that produced 8 goals.

Manchester City had this win but their usual defending issues was very eminent in their play which saw them concede three goals and having to take the lead thrice before the end of the game.

It took 27 minutes before Raheem Sterling was able to register a goal for City but the French side were more determined and energetic and this yielded for the Visitors two goals before half time and a lead into the break.

Falcao had his first goal in to level the game with a diving header, assisted by Fabinho’s right wing cross in the 32nd minute. The game would have had City leading again as a penalty kick was denied City as Aguero was clearly tripped by Subasic’s outstretched leg as he dribbled round him. A card was given the Argentinian for diving.

Mbappe gave Monaco the lead before break with a incredible run, anticipating Fabinho chipped a free-kick into the City box which opened up the big defensive issues of the English side, Otamendi failing to clear the ball allowed the youngster to score from Close range.
