ST Etienne 0-1 Manchester United: Manchester United Victorious In French Soil

Manchester United Scaled through to the next Round of the Europa League winning both legs of the round of 32 with St Etienne with a 4 Nil aggregate.

The Jose Mohrinho side made six changes to his starting line up but still had a more attacking team than the home side who needed three goals to go leveled and four to qualify before the start of the game.

The only goal of the Match was the 17th minute Mkhitaryan's goal which was assisted by Mata's  Cross for a flick into the net by the Goalscorer, though taken out early with a hamstring which could be a big blow to United as they head of their first trophy Come Sunday, his goal was all that decided the game today.

Eric Bailey had his day foiled with a red card, receiving two yellow cards in a 185 seconds for two bookable offense, the game didn't still look dangerous for United as they coped well, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Rashford made the game look as though United could still make it one goal up before 90 minutes.

Bailey will Miss the next game of the competition, Mkhitaryan will be out for a while and this two had been a rock in the Manchester United team. Evidently this will affect the team very much, though Jose Mohrinho's shuffling of the team has been effective as ever, Manchester United will need luck as they will have their next game in this competition before facing Chelsea in the FA Cup.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho:

"Everything was under control, solid, focused, professional. Obviously the first goal kills every hope. We still like to win the game. I told the players if someone gives me a 2-1 victory it is not enough. I always want the best possible result.

"I have to give the right message to the players and the right message is to play with a strong team and have a bench with options. We knew it would be difficult. It was important to play solid and to have complete control of the game."
