Sergio Romero Hopeful, He Gets More Games

Manchester United, Sergio Romero

Manchester United Sergio Romero was given much trust last season by Jose Mourinho, having him take the European games to securing the goal and he did superbly conceding just six goals in 1,650 minutes of football.

The 30 year old is hoping that his Boss, Jose Mourinho will give him that much trust this coming season, as he did in the Last campaign.

"I don't know what is going to happen [regarding who starts]," he told the Daily Mirror. "We will get to know before each match who is going to start as normal, but we will work hard and the minutes that I get, I will try to take advantage of them.

"I am thankful for the confidence that the manager has given me and last year he had a lot of faith in me and the results showed that. We won the Europa League and I didn't concede many goals.

"It's a situation I look at with calmness and this year I hope to have the same confidence levels so I can respond in the same way."

The Argentina international is still behind established No. 1 David De Gea in the United pecking order, but has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until at least 2021.
