Shakur Stevenson Breaks Down Felix Caraballo, Stops Him In Six ↑ Grab this Headline Animator WBO featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson made a successful 130 pound debut against  Felix Caraballo , working him down to a sixth round stoppage victory in a non title fight at the MGM Grand Conference Center on Tuesday night. Canelo Alvarez has made clear, he intends to face IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs) first in 2018, before he thinks of any other fight.

Canelo Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs) had on the 16th of September faced the Undisputed Middleweight champion, which ended with a controversial draw after 12 rounds of explosive Boxing at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas.

The score had 118-110 for Canelo, 115-113 for Golovkin and 114-114 for the draw which many saw as controversial, as they thought Golovkin had won the fight but this will be disputed by him as he (Canelo Alvarez) thought he was also the winner.

"I want it to be my first fight of 2018. I do not want another fight that is not the tiebreaker with Golovkin, and that's what we're going to try to do," said Canelo in a statement provided to BoxingScene.com.

"I feel that I was the winner, but that's boxing. I told everyone that it would be a great fight, I feel very happy with what I did, the people were happy and now they want to see the rematch," Canelo added
