Shakur Stevenson Breaks Down Felix Caraballo, Stops Him In Six ↑ Grab this Headline Animator WBO featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson made a successful 130 pound debut against  Felix Caraballo , working him down to a sixth round stoppage victory in a non title fight at the MGM Grand Conference Center on Tuesday night. Stevenson toyed with his opponent, breaking him down with every shot before, eventually ending the fight with a big body shot in the sixth round. The shot sent  Caraballo  to his knees and his gloves on the canvas and while stuck there because of the pains, the referee Tony Weeks was forced to end the fight at exactly 1:31 of the sixth. With the win, the 2016 silver medallist Stevenson retained his unbeaten record and improved to (14-0, 8KOs). Ryan Garcia knocked out Puerto Rico’s Jose “Wonder Boy” Lopez in the swcond round on Saturday evening at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, Calif.

Garcia sent Lopez to the canvas towards the end of the second round but the later made it to his feet and despite been initially cleared by the referee to continue, he was found unfit to continue. 

Lopez was totally overmatched by the much younger foe and despite his efforts to make things uncomfortable, he was eventually subdued by the 20 year old prospect.

    The Journeyman found himself in trouble late in the first round, as Garcia went at him with a flurry of shots and used a three-punch combination to rock his foe late in the round but Lopez managed to survived the round.

    Garcia was reckless with his punches, but his powershots showed great improvement. He got Lopez hurt twice in the first round, seeing the knockout was within reach. He went for the kill.

    He sent a flurry at Lopez, A series of power shots at an unsteady target culminated with a left hook to send Lopez to the canvas for the bout’s lone knockdown. He survived the knock down and eventually the round but his team called of the fight,, while he was still at his corner.

    “My improvements are going to get better and better. My competition is going to be better and netter and I will be ready for it,” Garcia insists. “I need to (raise) the competition. As I’m getting better, the competition needs to get better.”

    With the knock out win, he has improved to 18-0 (16KOs) and has the believe that he is ready to take on top class opponents
