Shakur Stevenson Breaks Down Felix Caraballo, Stops Him In Six ↑ Grab this Headline Animator WBO featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson made a successful 130 pound debut against  Felix Caraballo , working him down to a sixth round stoppage victory in a non title fight at the MGM Grand Conference Center on Tuesday night. Stevenson toyed with his opponent, breaking him down with every shot before, eventually ending the fight with a big body shot in the sixth round. The shot sent  Caraballo  to his knees and his gloves on the canvas and while stuck there because of the pains, the referee Tony Weeks was forced to end the fight at exactly 1:31 of the sixth. With the win, the 2016 silver medallist Stevenson retained his unbeaten record and improved to (14-0, 8KOs). Andy Ruiz Jr staged one of the biggest upsets in boxing by defeating IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO World Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, snatching away his titles in his US debut on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden. 

A sold out MSG, withnessed the Mexican, a 25 - 1 Underdog knocked the British down Four times, twice each in the third and seventh round to secure seventh round stoppage victory in a fight no one thought he could win. 

Both fighters felt themselves out in the he opening round with Joshua, landing a hard right hand about 45 seconds in but Ruiz landed a hook to the head to compliment. Ruiz was looking more aggressive and did enough to take the round. 

The second round was more of Joshua, who connected overhand right and then a left hook late in the second round and was able to knock him down but Ruiz stunned Joshua in the third sending him twice to the canvas with heavy shots to the head and Joshua was only saved by the bell. 

After dropping Joshua twice in the third round Ruiz Jr, was very cautious in the fourth and very little action was withnessed, which gave Joshua some time to recover. The same in the fifth and sixth rounds. 

The Seventh Round was epic as Ruiz unloaded on Joshua, a right hand hurt Joshua with another right hand and Joshua went down for the third time in the fight 23 seconds into the seventh round. Joshua beat the count and tried replying with a combination of his own but was caught with another right hand that sent Joshua to his gloves and knees.

The Referee Michael Griffin, waved off the fight after asking Anthony Joshua, if he would be able to continue.

Unified Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua defends his IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO titles against contender Andy Ruiz Jr in his US debut at Madison Square Garden, New York.

Andy Ruiz Jr, stepped up as replacement for Jarrell Miller who was dropped after  failing a drug test. Ruiz has been more active and defeated Germany's Alexander Dimitrenko on 20 April.

The fight will be Joshua's eighth world championship fight and will be his first fight since September, when he defeated Alexander Povetkin via seventh round KO.

Joshua will have a four inch advantage over Ruiz and a significant reach advantage over him but with that same frame, Ruiz gave Joseph Parker problems in Auckland back in 2016.

The fight will Broadcasted live on Skysports Pay-per-view in the UK, while the Americans will watch it live on DAZN.
