Oscar Valdez will be making his Junior lightweight debut against Andres Gutierrez in a junior lightweight elliminator on November 30th in a 10 round bout at Chelsea Ballroom inside The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. 

The Undefeated former WBO featherweight champion Oscar Valdez (26-0, 20 knockouts) forfeited his title after making six successful defenses including a unanimous decision victory over Jason Sanchez in his last outing back in July.

Due to the rules of the sanctioning body, Valdez is now placed mandatory position to the WBO junior lightweight champion Jamel Herring, who is fresh off a unanimous decision win over Lamont Roach on Nov. 9 in Fresno, California.

Andres Gutierrez is on a three fight winning streak and in his last outing defeated former junior bantamweight titleholder Tomas Rojas via unanimous decision back in June 22nd. Gutierrez will stand a chance of pulling off a major upset, when he shares the ring with the former featherweight champion on Saturday night.
