Bernard Hopkins Sees Canelo Knocking Out GGG In Trilogy
Former two division title holder Bernard Hopkins believes that the trilogy fight between Boxing Star Saul Canelo Alvarez and his arch rival Gennady Golovkin will end the same way as the rematch but this time, we ends a knockout in favour of the Mexican.
The two heavyweight king's first fought to a controversial draw in 2017 and in the rematch the Mexican won the belts from the Kazakhstani knockout artist with a very close majority decision in 2018.
The Trilogy fight is tentatively penned for the 12th of September but there is little information on if the fight will still go on as planned because of the Corona Virus pandemic and Gennady Golovkin is also due to make a mandatory defence of his IBF 160 pound title.
“I think Canelo has the blueprint definitely from the second fight to end it early. Okay, you beat him twice; now you knocked him out the third time,” said Hopkins per Chris Mannix of DAZN USA.

Former junior middleweight champion Sergio Mora also believes that the fight will end a stoppage in favour of Canelo Alvarez, who is both the youngest and fresher fighter of the two.
Canelo Alvarez Vs Gennady Golovkin Trilogy
“How can I not agree with ‘The Executioner’ to execute a game plan?,” said Mora. “This is a living legend in Bernard Hopkins. He knows better than anybody. I agree. Twenty-four rounds, these guys know each other too well. We have to favor the younger, fresher fighter Canelo for a stoppage.
“He will be going for a stoppage. They’ll both will be going for the knockout. Golovkin, we know he has the power to end this fight early as well. There’s too much bad blood, too much animosity.
“Now they’re going to have to wait a little bit longer, but the anticipation, the frustration, the anger that’s pent up, I think this fight ends by knockout.”
